“…Lord, … and when did we see you a stranger and welcome you? Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.” ~Mt 25:37; 40
Minister of Hospitality is a liturgical ministry to welcome all who come to pray with us at Mass. He or she is the first face one encounters upon approaching the doors to the Church. The job of Minister of Hospitality is very simple, but important: help to bring a warm and welcoming environment to our parish. They greet and welcome all who come to weekend and Holy Day Masses, especially offering assistance and direction to any newcomers. They direct people to open seats, help the elderly or disabled, take up the collection, hand out bulletins, and handle any emergencies that arise.
The Minister of Hospitality perpetuates the essence of Jesus’ own ministry and mission. He welcomed the least and the littlest; extended love, patience, tolerance and acceptance to all.
